BlackBerry 10 to Hit Indian Market today - on February 25

                                   After a long wait, it’s all final now that the global Smartphone maker BlackBerry will launch its brand new device, which is named as BlackBerry 10 on 25^th of February in the Indian Market. It is expected that it’ll create a craze among the people of India.

                                    On January 30 of this year BlackBerry launched its brand new operating system along with two brand new BlackBerry 10-powered devices- Z10 and Q10 globally. Obviously these two devices are powered by the new platform. At that launch ceremony BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) renamed itself to BlackBerry to set a new trend in the Smartphone market. The main focus of them is to compete with android and iPhone in the global market, which is once dominated by the BlackBerry itself.

                                            The Canada based company has sent an invitation to the Indian media saying that it will introduce BlackBerry 10 at an event, which will be held in Mumbai. It has to be mentioned here that the pricing details of the said phone were still not available. It seems the company is trying to create a mere curiosity about the product before its launch in the Indian market, which is good in deed.

                                           We all already know that BlackBerry is looking to turn around its fortunes with the new launch. It wants to bring back its golden days when it used to dominate the Smartphone market across the globe, which is now taken by Samsung and Apple.

                                            BlackBerry is the company which pioneered email on the go feature for the mobile users. Now they are on a mission of undertaking a “journey of transformation of business and brand”. A nice concept, a well reputed firm and a talented professional team, these three factors are combining up in this BlackBerry 10 devices, so it should be good.

                                             Z 10 and Q10 have to compete with Apple’s iPhone 5 and other smart phones that are mainly based on Google’s android, which are already very much popular across the world. So the road of BB10 will not be cake walk for sure, even it will be hard battle to survive in this highly competitive market. “Survival of the fittest” concept is applicable here also.

                                              The last few years were horrible for the BlackBerry, as its stocks had seen the worst possible scenario in this time region. In January 2010 its stock value was $61 a piece, but it had fallen to a huge margin, which was close to 72 percent to $17.54 on January 25, 2012. Sadly that’s not all, the worst part was in September 2012 it had declined to as low as $6.30.

                                             In the time period of July-September 2012, RIM's had a market share of 5.3 per cent only, where in the same time period Android smart phones had a market share of 72.4 per cent, while Apple's iOS market share stood at 13.9 per cent. The record proved that BlackBerry phones were outclassed by the other devices in a huge manner, and that was reason of the fall back of the value of its shares.

                                               But India was, is and will be (hope so) always a preferable market for the BlackBerry, as it has a huge fan base in India, especially among youth. According to a research, which was conducted be CyberMedia, during January-June 2012 period, RIM's market share in Indian smart phone market stood at a stead 12.1%, which was far better than its global market share percentage.

                                                The new device of BlackBerry has many key features like super fast browsing and smart cameras. Unlike the previous BlackBerry models it enters the market primed with a large app library including the video calling services such as Skype and popular games like Angry Bird. Even one of the BB10 devices is coming with the full touch screen support.

                                                BlackBerry has also introduced “BlackBerry Balance”, which will allow its users to separate professional data and applications from music, photographs and other personal items. This is one of the main key features, which is expected to attract the Smartphone users towards it.

                                                  It has to be mentioned here that BlackBerry 10 was first launched in United Kingdom. Earlier this month only it launched on various countries like Canada, UAE and United States of America.

Super Bowl 2013 Ad News: RIM Will Run A Super Bowl Ad For Blackberry 10

Blackberry announced today they will, for the first time have a 30-second ad buy for the Super Bowl this year. The timing could not be any better for RIM as Thorsten Heins officially announced today in a press release, that the BlackBerry 10 Launch event is to be held on January 30, 2013. The event will happen simultaneously in multiple countries around the world, where details of the smartphones and their availability will be announced. "A Super Bowl commercial is a great opportunity to show the redesigned, re-engineered and reinvented BlackBerry to tens of millions of consumers on the largest advertising stage of the year," RIM CMO Frank Boulben said in a statement. The commercial to run during the Big Game is the work of creative ad agency AMV BBDO, London and we are looking forward to seeing it.

BlackBerry Curve 9320 surfaces hands-on

We have seen the BlackBerry Curve 9320 before being handled by BGR.in in India and once again we have some more hands-on pictures, this time from Sohoa in Vietnam.

The phone looks similar to the recently announced Curve 9220 but features a matte silver trim around the front edges which gives it a more upmarket look compared to the spartan 9220. You also get some additional features over the Curve 9220. The camera has been upgraded from 2 megapixel to 3.2 megapixel and now has an LED flash. The 9320 also adds 3G HSPA connectivity that the 9220 lacks. Otherwise the two phones seem identical.

The Curve 9320 should be launched soon in India and other Asian markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia and probably even in the US on T-Mobile's network. For more images, click on the source link below.

BlackBerry 10 developer Alpha device leaked

RIM is holding a BlackBerry Jam conference next month in Orlando where it is supposed to give out development devices running the upcoming BlackBerry 10 to ten of the developers attending the event. We are now seeing what are allegedly pictures of this developer device, courtesy of a CrackBerry forum member.

The phone looks like a shrunken down PlayBook, with the same matte plastic back that goes around the side and surrounds the display. The front has the earpiece and a camera at the top, the display in the middle and what seems like a (blurred out) logo at the bottom.

Of course, how this device looks like is irrelevant because it is only intended as a developer unit and won't make it to production. The final devices are likely to have a bit more flair although to be honest this doesn't look to shabby either.

Orange isi actualizeaza portofoliul de smartphone-uri

Cei de la RIM au postat pe canalul lor de pe YouTube un videoclip în care realizează o comparaţie între viitorul lor tablet PC PlayBook şi iPad-ul celor de la Apple în ceea ce priveşte viteza browser-ului şi încărcarea conţinutului online în general. Dintre cele două tablet PC-uri, PlayBook-ul este mai rapid, încărcând paginile web mult mai repede, şi oferă un conţinut online mai bogat datorită suportului pentru Flash(support pentru Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1, Adobe® Mobile AIR® si HTML-5).

Să fie PlayBook-ul celor de la RIM un rival periculos al iPad-ului celor de la Apple? PlayBook - de la BlackBerry prima tabletă PC RIM (VIDEO)

Compania canadiană producătoare a telefoanelor mobile Blackerry, a prezentat la San Francisco un produs nou numit PlayBook, ce va fi lansat în 2011 şi care se vrea a fi competitorul iPad-ului lansat de Apple, potrivit The Wall Street Journal.

Dispozitivul a fost descris de Mike Lazaridis, directorul general al companiei canadiene Research in Motion, ca fiind "o tabletă profesională" care a fost realizată în funcţie de ceea ce îşi doresc clienţii tradiţionali ai BlackBerry, adică cei din zona corporatistă.

Oficialul RIM a mai precizat că produsul poate fi folosit pentru a viziona filme, realiza fotografii, pentru jocuri video si cititul cărţilor electronice şi dispune de un ecran tactil de şapte inch (17,78 centimetri) şi camere video HD atât în faţa cât şi pe spatele tabletei. De asemenea, dispozitivul poate suporta programul Flash de la Adobe, care este momentan indisponibil pe iPad.

În acelaşi timp, administratorii reţelei de retail Amazon au anunţat că vor realiza o aplicaţie a cititoarelor de cărţi electronice Kindle special pentru PlayBook.

Prima variantă a PlayBook va avea conexiune Bluetooth şi Wi-Fi, dar apelurile telefonice vor putea fi făcute doar printr-o sincronizare cu un smartphone BlackBerry. Cu toate acestea, oficialii companiei au declarat că versiunile urmatoare ale tabletei ar putea fi conectate direct

la sistemele mobile 3G ori 4G. Astfel, la producerea acestui nou gadget, vor participa şi producătorii Samsung şi Dell, dornici să detroneze tableta lansată de Apple.

Compania de cercetare Gartner prevede totuşi o scădere la 12% a cotei de piaţă a Research in Motion pe segmentul Smartphone, ca urmare a cererii extrem de mari şi în creştere continuă pentru produsele Apple.
